They also keep the four groomers operational.  The groomers are very large and do not get out of the way for snowmobilers.  If you meet a groomer while on the trails, please move to the side.

Waiting for more snow!!!!

For current trail report from the groomers please visit the Cadillac Winter Promotions trail report site.

Cadillac Winter Promotions

Cadillac Winter Promotions is a group of dedicated volunteers who work year round to keep our near 200 miles of trails in excellent condition.

During the fall they prep the trails.  Clearing brush and down trees, placing signs along the trails and maintenance  on the trails.

For state laws and regulations on snowmobiling please visit the DNRE website.

For your personal snowmobile to be on the public trails, you must buy a trail permit.  Funds from the sale of trail permits goes directly back into the trail system and keeps the groomers running.

Also, the trails are marked with emergency mile markers.  They are labelled with the the name of the county that you are in, the first number being the name of the trail you are on, and the second number being the mile marker.  All major trail intersections are also signed with directions and mileages to near by pit-stops.

Navigating the Trails

Snowmobilers new to the sport are some times a little nervous about heading in to the woods.  Our trail system is very well marked with several different navigational markers

The one seen the most on the trails is the orange diamond.  Usually marked with a number corresponding to the trail that you are on.
